Building stronger cross-sector relationships through shared experience.

Structured, project-based placements between South Australian public sector agencies and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.

Ulare “for a reason”

The Ulare Secondment Program creates reciprocal partnerships between South Australian public sector employees and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) through practical, project-based placements aligned to organisational priorities.

The program connects the strategic and technical capability of the public sector with the deep cultural knowledge, lived experience and community-led approaches of Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, recognising that both sectors contribute equally valuable strengths, perspectives and expertise.

Delivered by MTL Consulting Services in partnership with the Office of the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment, the program responds directly to Action 2.06 of South Australia’s Closing the Gap Implementation Plan 2024–2026, supporting reciprocal secondments that strengthen shared capability, collaboration and cross-sector understanding.

Through practical collaboration and shared learning, Ulare supports stronger cross-sector relationships and practical outcomes across government and the Aboriginal Community Controlled sector.

BOTH SECTORS CONTRIBUTE EQUALLY VALUABLE PERSPECTIVES AND STRENGTHS
